    the idea that some of these books were banned somewhere for these reasons fucking sickens me

    WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE IS “TOO SCARY”?

    DID THEY MISS THE WHOLE POINT ABOUT…. THE WHOLE BOOK?

    I mean I can ALMOST barely see the possibility of banning books involving sexuality/homosexuality within certain settings in order to follow one’s own misguided morality…

    but banning a picture book for being too scary?
